Antique French Gray Dresser

~~~~~~~~~SOLD~~~~~~~~~
Beautiful SOLID Wood French Dresser
made by Heritage Furniture
The details on this dresser are amazing.  The curved front drawers and the curvy sides are so beautiful.  Finished in a soft gray shade and glazed with 3 colors.  I started with a dark gray glaze and then a lighter gray and finished it with a silver metalic glaze just in the detail areas.
The BEST part though is the inside of the drawers I painted a bright turquoise for a fun surprise when you open them!
Painted Distressed Piano
I'm sure I have broken some law by painting a piano blue... but I am in love with it!  This antique piano is around 100 years old and I looked up the value which fully restored could be worth $8-10K!  Wowza!  But the veneer was broken and chipped badly on one side and the bottom of the piano was so beat up that I had to add decorative trim to try and cover it up.  So with my limited skills I could not have restored it to it's original beautiful wood.  Plus, I adore all the fun painted pianos I have been seeing on the web right now!
I can't believe I forgot to take a "Before" picture.  I guess I was just so excited to get started!  Redoing a piano is not an easy task.  First of all moving it is the biggest pain...It weighs a ton.  Then,to do a good job with the paint you have to disassemble the entire thing.  Including removing all the keys (make sure you number them if you ever attempt this).  I very lightly sanded it to preserve all the texture from the old crackled finish.  Then paint, distressed, glazed to bring out all the crackle and clear coat.
Here's the trim I had to add to the bottom.  I really like how it looks.
